You Are Not Alone

Hey everyone,

Pornography is a very serious topic in this media-driven age. As I look to recover from what was a three-year addiction, I want to encourage people that they are not alone in this fight. For a long time, I felt I had to keep it to myself because it was “dirty” and “disgusting”, but I am here to tell you to share it. Share your struggles. The freedom from admitting that you are struggling works wonders in your life. When I laid my addiction at the foot of the cross, my life changed dramatically all because of the grace of God. That is the only reason I am writing this is because I feel called to fight this temptation. God can still use us. He will never give up on us. Look at Paul and all the things he did before he truly had Christ, and after, Paul was one of the most incredible men of God. Below, I have posted three different videos all with a different purpose. The first is a video from desiringgod.org (I encourage you to explore this website and YouTube channel) and it speaks about fighting the temptation and addiction in this age of pornography. The second is a testimony about a pornography addiction which may hit deep with those who are struggling because I know it did with me. Terry Crews, well-known actor reveals his struggles with pornography addiction. Lastly, the scientific truths video comes from a website that talks about all the ways porn corrupts, which is called fightthenewdrug.org (one of the best sites for pornography facts). I encourage you guys to look into these. In my next couple posts, I plan to review a couple of books I have used in my recovery and strengthening in my walk with the Lord.
